Trapped dog rescued from stormwater pipe in Voëlklip

Overstrand fire fighters and street and storm water staff rescued a dog that was caught in a storm drain pipe in 10th Street, Voëlklip, earlier today.

The dog was scared but not injured and was happy to be reunited with its family, who is visiting from Johannesburg.

They commended the fire fighters and street and storm water staff for their assistance in saving lives – even when they are sometimes of the furry, four legged variety.
